Hello from PIXAR Animation Studios!
For all you animation, PIXAR, and Disney fans - you should definitely grab the chance to visit this awesome place when you can!
I got the chance to visit with my co-workers today and our guide took us on the tour of the studios that told the story of how a PIXAR film is made.
PURE GREATNESS.
And to top it off, we saw John Lasseter. :D

For the time being here is a photo I took in Disneyland this past weekend before they took down the holiday decorations! I love finding their (not-so-hidden) Mickey’s in the trees! :)

Just a reminder, applications are still up and will be closing soon if you are planning to do the Disney College Program! I am free to answer any of your questions you have [I am a WDWCP Alumni, Campus Rep “Alumni”, and current store CM].
But PLEASE, this is a Disney art inspired appreciation tumblr, so I don’t want to spam this blog with Q&A’s. If you have questions, stories, etc, feel free to message me at my personal tumblr HERE! I swear I don’t bite. :)
thoughtfullyrandom asked: When did u do the college program? What role did u have? what session did u do? where did u work? where did u live? what were u favorite things to do while u were there? (outside of WDW too) Did u celebrate a birthday while u were there? would you go back if you could? what roles do u suggest applying for for someone who doesn't really know what they want to do but want to go down into the program? I did the program too but i figure these questions would be helpful to people who haven't
OH wow, lots of questions!
When did I do the college program?
Janurary 19, 2011-May 20, 2011.
What role did I have?
I did custodial (not as bad as it sounds!)
What session did I do?
I did the regular spring program.
Where did I work?
The entirety of Future World, EPCOT! :)
Where did you live?
Chatham Square!! My favorite complex. :)
What were my favorite things to do while I was there?
I just loved hanging out with my friends and coworkers. Visiting other theme parks was awesome (Busch Gardens and Universal), going out to eat (Steak N Shake had horrible service, but it was the best place to hang out at night after work!), of course going around to all the parks, water parks, and resorts on Disney property, House of Blues, concerts, orange picking, etc etc, so many things to do. It’s just a LOT easier if you have a friend/roommate/coworker with a car. Disney’s buses only get you so far. I would say I liked going to the clubs, but I had shitty experiences, so no.
Did I celebrate a birthday while I was there?
I wish I did! It would have been awesome. But no, my birthday nor my friends birthdays were really in that time frame. (Kinda surprising!)
Would I go back if I could?
Totally! I plan on going back for a fall/fall advantage program in 2013! :)
What roles do I suggest applying for for someone who doesn’t really know what they want to do but want to go down into the program?
Apply for anything you could imagine yourself doing without hating your role. If you can’t imagine yourself standing at one attraction for long durations of time, don’t apply for it. If you can’t see yourself dealing with hungry and cranky people, don’t apply for food service anything. If you have an open mind, be acceptable to anything, BUT do have a top 3 you would want to do. I went in with an open mind and I ended up with custodial… I didn’t even apply for it haha. BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT AND I WOULD HAVE NOT TRADED MY EXPERIENCE FOR THE WORLD! Custodial allows you the most freedom within the park, no managers constantly watching you, you get to talk to loooots of guests, and I made the best of friends with my coworkers and one of them is my current boyfriend. :)
I hope these answered the questions haha. If you guys have anymore questions, feel free to ask here or on my personal tumblr :)
